What Car Detailing Costs in Toronto in 2026

Detailing prices in the GTA vary more than most services, because “a detail” can mean a 45-minute tidy-up or a five-hour restoration. This is what the market looks like in 2026, what sits behind the numbers, and how to compare two quotes honestly.

Our published prices

These are Detailing Pro’s starting prices, before HST. Mobile service adds $20.

What the wider GTA market looks like

Across published price lists in the Greater Toronto Area in 2026 you will typically see:

  • Entry interior clean: roughly $70 to $200, depending on whether it is a vacuum-and-wipe or a full shampoo.
  • Full interior and exterior detail: roughly $170 to $350 for a normal car.
  • Multi-stage paint correction: $500 and up, priced by hours of machine work.
  • Ceramic coating: $600 to $2,000+, driven by coating grade, warranty and how much correction is done first.

A $70 “detail” and a $250 detail are not the same service. The cheap end is almost always a wash and vacuum; the difference is shampoo, extraction, decontamination and time.

The five things that actually move the price

  1. Vehicle size. A seven-seat SUV has roughly twice the interior surface of a small car, and it takes longer to do properly.
  2. Condition. Pet hair, sand, spilled drinks, smoke and heavy salt staining add time. Detailers price time.
  3. Protection. A spray sealant is minutes; a coating is hours of preparation, and the preparation is most of the cost.
  4. Paint work. Polishing to remove swirls is measured in hours per panel, which is why correction quotes vary so widely.
  5. Location. Mobile service carries a travel charge almost everywhere. Ours is $20.

How to compare two quotes fairly

Ask three questions: how long will the job take, is the interior shampooed and extracted or only wiped, and what protection is applied at the end. Two quotes that differ by $100 usually differ by ninety minutes of labour.
